The sustainable sourcing of materials is a critical aspect of my wood art practice.

I primarily work with indigenous timber such as oak, lime tree, beech, poplar, olive tree, and maple.

These trees are either felled by natural events like wind or harvested responsibly by human hands.

This ensures that the wood I use is not contributing to deforestation or ecological harm.

Additionally, I seek out timber from fallen or ancient trees, giving new purpose to wood that has already completed its life cycle in nature. This method not only respects the environment but also brings a unique character and history to each piece I create.

By sourcing materials locally and on my travels, I also reduce the environmental impact associated with transportation.

This commitment to sustainable sourcing aligns with my broader philosophy of eco-conscious craftsmanship, ensuring that my work honours and preserves the natural world.
